Tinny asked:

Don’t try to tell a player that superstitions may make nonsense. Do you still feel funny to hear the variety of superstitions that players use? Do you know some players use one type of coin to mark your ball, and wear ‘lucky shirt’?  Some golf players have lucky charms. Some have superstitious rituals that they practice, while some believe that it is silly to maintain superstistions.

The fact that they are impossible to prove (or disprove) does little to dissuade golfers from believing in superstitions! Phil Mickelson uses Titleist with high numbers because it helps him to discern his egg from others. But sometimes, the lines between superstition and preference are not distinct. Many common superstitions in golf have to do with the coins used to mark ball placements. Some US players refuse to use anything other than nickels (five US cents), and others must use coins that are heads-up.

Whether or not you have your own personal tast of quirks or superstitions, It is easy to  find a golfer who will be at the ready to give you some superstitious tips. Most golfers agree on certain beliefs and will pass along the same advice regarding issues such as:

NO 1. Never switch your golf ball midway through a game

NO 2. Always start golfing before noon to encourage the best luck

NO 3. Keep your guard up when playing on the 13th hole

Famous golfer Arnold Palmer’s wife kisses each one of his Golf clubs fore he uses them in a game. Paul Azinger always marks his golf ball with a US penny, which features the head of Abraham Lincoln. He also makes certain to turn the penny so Lincoln is looking at the hole. He thinks this brings him good luck!

John Cook marks his golf ball only with US quarters (25 cent coins that feature different US States) that gives pictures of states in which he has not only played, but played well. Christina Kim doesn’t step on the edge where the fairway meets the green, as she considers this to bring bad luck to her golf game.

Doug Sanders denies playing golf with white golf tees, as he regards  them to be unlucky, While Tiger Woods wear red to the fortune.

Practice incurs perfect, no matter what kind of  superstition convince you. Go ahead, no matter you wear some colored Underwear to luck, or keep the golf ball from the only hole-in-one in a zip lock bag. for Happy Thoughts , go and go to become one of golf as greatest!
